Tobias Bamert und Anja Wüthrich haben sich die Frage gestellt, wie unsinnig der Wunsch ist, in einem Moment verweilen zu können.

Bewegung in Oberflächen ist für sie wegen ihrer Vergänglichkeit visuell interessant. Das Spiel mit Materialität inspiriert sie. Im digitalen Raum begegnen ihnen immer wieder fliessende Formen und Effekte, die bewegtes Material simulieren. Digitale Simulationen sind wiederholbar und können angehalten werden.
Das Künstlerduo hat das Bedürfnis, einen Moment in der Wirklichkeit in Stillstand zu versetzen, ihn räumlich sichtbar und greifbar zu machen, um darin verweilen zu können.

Ihre Freude an Räumlichkeit und plastischem Gestalten zeigt sich in ihrer Arbeit. Bei der Installation am Schaufenster überträgt sich die Bewegung auf die Betrachtenden. Sie können sich, während der räumlich materialisierte Moment stillsteht, um das Werk bewegen. Wirklicher Stillstand entsteht auch dadurch nicht. Die Bewegung macht jeden Moment erneut vergänglich - eine Auseinandersetzung, die sie im Prozess ständig begleitete.
Neben dem Schaufenster behandeln auch Bildschirmschoner, Postkarten und die Ladentheke des Kulturbüros dieses Thema.

Beide Kunstschaffende leben und arbeiten in der Stadt St.Gallen. Anja Wüthrich hat kürzlich das Propädeutikum für Erwachsene an der GBS abgeschlossen, Tobias Bamert ist Gestaltungslehrer in verschiedenen Altersstufen. Sie beide erschaffen neben der Arbeit als Lehrpersonen ihre eigene Kunst, beschäftigen sich mit digitalen Medien und sind handwerklich im Atelier und im Meter (Verein mit Werkstätten in St.Gallen) aktiv und kreativ.

Né en 1998, Denis Shchekin y montre des personnes immobiles ou ralenties, comme mises à l’écart d’un monde qui va trop vite. Le mouvement urbain — voitures, lumières, vitrines — traverse l’image, tandis que les figures humaines semblent suspendues.

Ce travail parle de celles et ceux qui ne trouvent pas leur place dans une société obsédée par la vitesse et la performance. L’artiste autodidacte s’inclut dans cette réflexion : ces images traduisent un ressenti personnel, sans jugement ni discours alarmiste.

Heidi Mumenthaler wurde 1963 in Basel geboren. Ihre erste Ausbildung absolvierte sie als Siebdruckerin in Basel, wo sie unter anderem Drucke für Max Bill und Plakate für Theaterproduktionen fertigte. Später studierte sie Schauspiel am Mozarteum in Salzburg. Seit 1992 ist sie als Malerin tätig – viele Jahre in Berlin, heute in St. Gallen, wo sie am Theater arbeitet. Während der Corona-Pandemie entschied sie sich, eine Festanstellung anzunehmen, nicht als Abschied von der Kunst, sondern als Schutzraum für das, was bleibt. Mumenthalers Bilder entstehen aus der stillen Beobachtung, ohne Vorlage, ohne Planung – roh, eigen, unverwechselbar. Jeder Strich, jede Figur, jede Fläche ist ein Unikat. „Ich kann mich selbst nicht kopieren“, sagt sie, „es gibt keine Wiederholungen.“ Und genau das macht ihre Kunst so lebendig.

Né en 2009, Ian Bonzon se distingue par son engagement précoce dans des projets audiovisuels ambitieux. Des premiers courts-métrages réalisés durant ses années de primaire à la création d’un film pendant le cycle, il cultive depuis toujours le plaisir de partager ses passions à travers des projets créatifs, notamment photographiques, entre nature et événements sportifs. Fin 2024, il débute un apprentissage de Médiamaticien à la FER Genève.

SKIES is a roaring river of pictures and sounds with no beginning or end. The accessible video installation takes the visitor on a journey through familiar surroundings that turn into distant galaxies. The 30-minute loop is seen when lying down - in the middle of a sound composition that grows into a three-dimensional acoustic space through sixteen channels.

Vitor Oliveria is a Portuguese photographer that has a flair for analog photography. His natural excitement and creativity drew him closer to the art form of photography, immersing himself into connecting various motives and techniques, drawing into focus the social and cultural structures that affect the representation of the human form.
