Hasselblad Flextight X5

The Flextight X5 is a high-end negative film scanner going up to a maximum resolution of 8000 ppi, with a 16 bit internal colour depth and maximum Dmax depth of 4.9.

The FlexColor scan software is only supported up to macOS Mojave 10.14. That is why the scanner is connected to our older laptop with an older OS. You may also bring your own laptop and install the software, which is free.

You can use the scanner following a brief introduction given by us. We only distribute the scanning masks you really need. Please proceed very carefully with them.

The scanner can be reserved by the hour.

Scandauer

Der Scanner ist schnell, sehr schnell, hier ein paar Beispiele der Scandauer:

  • 24 x 35 bei 2000 ppi: 0:25 min
  • 24 x 35 bei 8000 ppi: 1:50 min
  • 4 x 5" bei 2040 ppi: 1:16 min

3F-Scans

FlexColor bietet die Möglichkeit sogenannte 3F–Scans zu erzeugen. Ähnlich wie RAW–Files einer Digitalkamera enthält dieses Format die vom Sensor erfassten Informationen ohne jegliche Bearbeitung durch die Scansoftware. Die beim Scanvorgang oder nachträglich vorgenommenen Einstellungen werden als Metadaten gespeichert. Einstellungen können nachträglich jederzeit ohne Qualitätsverlust verändert werden, indem das Bild wieder in der Software FlexColor geöffnet wird.

Achtung: 3F–Dateien können nur in FlexColor bearbeitet werden. Evtl. kann das Scanner 3F Plug–In 1.3 für Photoshop Abhilfe schaffen.
