Riso SF9350 EII

Riso SF9350 EII with drying rack

Risography is a rotating stencil printing technique and can be described as a mix of screenprint and copying. A master slide is created from a template and stretched on a rotating drum. The printing paper passes the rotating drum from where the print colour is stencilled on the paper through a filter.
The procedure stems from the screen printing process and was developed by the Japanese company Riso Kagaku in 1986. The unique aspect of risography is that the colour is applied to the paper without chemicals and heat.
