Web-Talk: Audiodeskription in der Praxis

20.11.2026
12:00–13:00

Blind and visually impaired people face many barriers in the cultural sector as well—both on stage and behind the scenes. For example, it is difficult for them to follow the plot of a play or a show if it relies primarily on visual cues.

This is where “audio description” (AD) comes in. Audio description means “audible description.” It describes what is happening on stage, on the screen, or on the movie screen and is used in films, theaters, and museums, among other places.

In this web talk, experts will explain what AD is, how it is implemented in practice, and what needs to be considered—followed by a short Q&A session at the end.
