Video Workshop Part 1: camera basics

Video KB Website

Would you like to understand cameras better, but the manual settings are still a mystery and the automatic mode doesn't get you anywhere? In this workshop, we will familiarise ourselves with the basic functions of the Kulturbüro's smaller film and video cameras. We will look at terms such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, ND filter and colour temperature directly on the cameras. We will also explain the different recording formats, codecs, bit rates and bit depths available on the cameras and discuss what is suitable for which project. Is your image often too bright or too dark? Or rarely really sharp? Together we will try out how tools such as Zebra, False Colours, Histogram or Peaking can help you to use exposure and focus more consciously.

The workshop can be booked individually and no previous knowledge is required. If you have any questions, please get in touch!
